Notes

This bootnet image will work ONLY on ProLiant platforms that have a Smart Array 6x or 5x Series controller (embedded or as a stand-up option card) as the boot controller. 

Example 1: This bootnet image will work on a DL360 G4 where the embedded Smart Array 6i is the boot controller.

Example 2: This bootnet image will work on an ML350 G4 only if a stand-up PCI card based Smart Array 6x or 5x controller is used as the boot controller.

For a network install, you can also use the boot.iso image available in the “/images” directory of Red Hat CD1.

Installation 			
============================================
Create the diskette by writing the image to a 1.44 MB floppy disk using dd (Unix/Linux) or rawrite.exe (DOS/Windows).  Insert the diskette into the system. Boot the system and proceed with installation. 

You can also use this image with the integrated Lights-Out (iLO) and Remote Insight Lights-Out Edition II (RILOE II) virtual media option.  After booting to the bootnet in this manner, proceed with the installation as normal.

If you are using a Remote Insight Lights Out Edition I (RILOE I) card, use the Compaq Remote Insight Diskette Image Utility to convert the bootnet image to the RILOE I format:  http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/7720.html

For a network install, you can also use the boot.iso image available in the “/images” directory of Red Hat CD1.
