INTRODUCTION This file contains information regarding use of the HP ProLiant Support Pack for Microsoft Windows 2000. The following information is provided: Support Pack Installation Component Usage Log File Usage 2. SUPPORT PACK INSTALLATION The primary method for installing the Support Pack is to run the SETUP.EXE program included with the Support Pack. By default, all software is selected for installation. In most circumstances, this default selection should not be altered, and installation is as simple as pressing the "Install" button. Even when selected, only software that is appropriate for the system it is being run on will actually be installed. Press the "Install" button to proceed with the installation. After installation of the appropriate software the utility will display any installation failures. For more information on the usage of SETUP.EXE, refer to the white paper or access the help system while running SETUP.EXE. A BP000246.CMD file is also provided with the Support Pack for use in installing the Support Pack from a command prompt without user interaction. As with the SETUP.EXE program, all software appropriate for the system it is being run on will be installed. The HP ProLiant Support Pack for Microsoft Windows 2000 contains numerous files. All files must be present in the same directory as the SETUP.EXE program in order for the Support Pack to be installed properly. A console version of the setup application (SETUPC.EXE) is also provided as a way to script installations of the Support Pack or components. For more information on its usage, refer to the help available by running setupc.exe /?. 3. COMPONENT USAGE In addition to the SETUP.EXE program mentioned above, the Support Pack contains individual .EXE files corresponding to the various components that make up the Support Pack. If necessary, these components can be installed individually or their contents extracted to a floppy diskette for use during OS installation. To install an individual component just run the appropriate CPxxxxx.EXE file and chose the "Install" button. To extract the contents of a component to diskette run the appropriate CPxxxxx.EXE file, then chose the "Extract" button instead of the "Install" button. 3.1 COMPONENT CONFIGURATION Component files now offer optional support configuration before they are installed. The optional support configuration allows component-specific settings to be written into the .EXE file for availability during installation. Configuration is performed using the functionality provided by SETUP.EXE. When SETUP.EXE is launched, you will be able to view all of the components that support or require configuration in the tree view of the main window. To configure a component, right-click on an item and select "Configure..." from the context-menu. For more information, consult the HP ProLiant Support Pack (PSP) and Deployment Utilities User Guide. NOTE: Component Configuration requires that the Smart Components must be in a write-accessible location. A CD or read-only network share is not supported. If you have obtained this Support Pack on the Smart Start CD, copy the entire contents of the Support Pack directory to the local hard drive or a network share and make sure the read-only attributes have been cleared from all of the files. cp005545.exe HP System Management Homepage for Windows cp005397.exe HP ProLiant iLO Advanced and Enhanced System Management Controller Driver for Windows 2000/Server 2003 cp005013.exe HP ProLiant Advanced System Management Controller Driver for Windows 2000/Server 2003 cp003747.exe HP ProLiant Integrated System Management Controller Driver for Windows 2000 cp003714.exe HP ProLiant System Management Controller Driver for Windows 2000/Server 2003 cp004504.exe AMD-8000 Chipset Support for Windows 2000/Server 2003 cp004823.exe Intel 6300ESB Chipset Support for Windows 2000/Windows Server 2003 cp003748.exe HP ProLiant 64-Bit/66-Mhz Dual Channel Wide Ultra3 SCSI Controller Driver for Windows 2000 cp004776.exe HP ProLiant 64-Bit/133-MHz Ultra320 Adapter for Windows 2000 cp003472.exe HP ProLiant Smart Array-2 Controllers Driver for Windows 2000 cp005465.exe HP ProLiant Smart Array SAS/SATA Controller Driver for Windows 2000 cp005266.exe HP ProLiant SATA RAID Controller Driver for Windows 2000/Server 2003 cp005402.exe HP ProLiant Smart Array 5x and 6x Controller Driver for Windows 2000/Server 2003 cp005403.exe HP ProLiant Smart Array Device Manager Extension for Windows 2000/Server 2003 cp005470.exe HP ProLiant Smart Array SAS/SATA Event Notification Service for Windows 2000/Server 2003 cp004770.exe HP StorageWorks Fibre Channel Support for Windows 2000/Server 2003 cp003484.exe HP ProLiant CMD 0649 IDE Ultra DMA Controller Driver for Windows 2000/Server 2003 cp003721.exe HP ProLiant Integrated Ultra ATA-100 Dual Channel Driver for Windows 2000/Server 2003 cp003733.exe HP ProLiant CSB-6 ATA-100 IDE RAID Driver for Windows 2000/Windows Server 2003 cp005186.exe HP ProLiant Storage System Driver for Windows 2000/Server 2003 cp004784.exe HP ProLiant Drive Array Notification for Windows 2000/Server 2003 cp005407.exe HP StorageWorks Fibre Channel Array Notification Driver for Windows 2000/Server 2003 cp005624.exe HP ProLiant Integrated ATA RAID Management Utility for Windows cp005625.exe HP ProLiant CSB-6 ATA-100 IDE RAID Management Utility for Windows 2000/Server 2003 cp005301.exe HP StorageWorks Fibre Channel Adapter Kit for Emulex SCSIPort Driver for Windows 2000/ Windows Server 2003 cp005652.exe HP StorageWorks Fibre Channel Adapter Kit for QLAxxxx SCSIPort Driver for Windows 2000/Server 2003 cp005391.exe HP ProLiant Remote Monitor Service for Windows cp004183.exe HP ProLiant PCI Hot Plug Controller Driver for Windows 2000/Server 2003 cp003498.exe HP ProLiant Hot Plug Memory Driver for Windows 2000 cp005409.exe HP ProLiant Remote Insight Board Driver for Windows 2000/Server 2003 cp005410.exe HP ProLiant Integrated Lights-Out Management Interface Driver for Windows 2000/Server 2003 cp005411.exe HP ProLiant Remote Insight Lights-Out II Board Driver for Windows 2000/Server 2003 cp003506.exe HP ProLiant ATI RAGE IIC Video Controller Driver for Windows 2000 cp004460.exe HP ProLiant ATI RAGE XL Video Controller Driver for Windows 2000 cp005602.exe ATI ES1000 and Radeon 7000 Video Controller Driver for Windows 2000/Server 2003 cp005412.exe HP ProLiant Rack Infrastructure Interface Service for Windows 2000/Server 2003 cp005423.exe HP ProLiant Legacy Port Configuration Component for Windows 2000 cp005392.exe HP ProLiant Integrated Management Log Viewer for Windows cp005393.exe HP ProLiant Array Configuration Utility for Windows cp005394.exe HP ProLiant Array Diagnostics Utility for Windows cp005395.exe HP ProLiant Array Configuration Utility (CLI) for Windows cp005368.exe HP Integrated Tape Applications and Utilities for Windows cp005496.exe HP NC31xx Fast Ethernet NIC Driver for Windows 2000 cp005497.exe HP NC61xx/71xx/310x Gigabit Ethernet NIC Driver for Windows 2000 cp005566.exe HP NC10xx/67xx/77xx/150x/320x/325x Gigabit Ethernet NIC Driver for Windows 2000 cp005474.exe HP NC370x Multifunction Gigabit Server Adapter Driver for Windows 2000 cp005318.exe HP Network Configuration Utility for Windows 2000 cp005556.exe HP Virus Throttle for Windows 2000 cp005396.exe Version Control Agent for Windows cp005413.exe HP Insight Management Agents for Windows 2000/Windows Server 2003 cp005464.exe HP Lights-Out Online Configuration Utility for Windows 2000/Server 2003 cp005414.exe HP Insight Diagnostics Online Edition for Windows 2000/Server 2003 4.
