PUBLIC NOTES:

FIXES OR ENHANCEMENTS:  

1. Authentication was broken in previous version; it is now enabled in version 9.79.

2. At the close of a background task, meta data is now flushed to disk, which fixes the previous checkpoint issues.

3. The random number generator used to repeat for seed 0 is now replaced with a free running counter, which fixes the previous problem of the seed being zero for spare disks causing repeat reinsertions to break the RAID.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

You need to create a driver diskette to install the SATA driver for Novell NetWare 6.5.

1. Insert one blank, formatted 3.5" diskette into the flexible diskette drive of a PC 

running Microsoft Windows.

2. Run the executable file and then click "Open" to proceed.

3. Click "Yes" to proceed if a confirmation screen appears.

4. Click "OK" to proceed.

5. Press any key to create the driver diskette for your operating system.

6. After the diskette is ready, press "N" to quit, or "Y" to create another diskette.

7. During the installation of the operating system on the server, insert the SATA driver 

diskette you just created when prompted to install the driver.
