During power-up POST initialization press F8 If you need to create a RAID array when prompted to enter the LSI BIOS Setup utility. 3. During the Windows install setup dialog box Press F6 when prompted to install a third-party driver. Note: When F6 is active, a prompt appears at the bottom of the screen. Installing the Driver in an Existing Windows System --------------------------------------------------- In this scenario, you are installing a driver in a system that already has a Windows operating system. Create a driver disk by exracting the contents of lsi_sas.sys-1.21.3.0.Win2K3.x64.zip to a floppy diskette. 2. Start Windows. Windows launches the Found New Hardware Wizard, which searches for the controller driver. 3. Insert the driver disk you created in Step 1, select the floppy disk drive as the source then click Next. 4. If necessary, select the appropriate driver for your operating system. 5. Click Next as needed to complete the controller installation. 6. Remove the driver disk. 7. If prompted, restart the computer. 8. After the driver installed, you can create an array with BIOS by reboot the system, press F8 when prompted to enter the BIOS Setup utility.
