DESCRIPTION:  This .ZIP file contains SMS Agent software support for the
              HP ProLiant DL140 servers running United Linux 1.0 or SLES 8.

NEW FEATURES:  Change the watchdog timer setting to 20 sec/10 min.

PROBLEMS FIXED:  None.

HOW TO USE:

1.  Download this .ZIP file on your server.

2.  Unzip the contents to a directory on your hard drive.

3.  Install the driver with rpm: 

     a.  If you have an existing installation of the SMS Agent, run rpm with the upgrade
         option:

         [root@localhost]# rpm -U smsagent-united10-1.0.0-2.i386.rpm

     b. For first-time installation, run rpm as follows:
 
	[root@localhost]# rpm -ivh --force smsagent-united10-1.0.0-2.i386.rpm
	  Preparing...   ########################################### [100%] 
	  1:smsagent-united10      ########################################### [100%] 


4.  After installation, you can query the file list with the command shown below:
 
	[root@localhost]# rpm -ql smsagent-united10 
	  /etc/init.d/smsagent 
	  /usr/local/smsagent/ExFunc.so
	  /usr/local/smsagent/config
	  /usr/local/smsagent/iomap.o
	  /usr/local/smsagent/run.sh
	  /usr/local/smsagent/snmpd.conf
	  /usr/local/smsagent/srm-mib
	  /usr/local/smsagent/srmagent
	  /usr/local/smsagent/stopwatchdog
	  /usr/local/smsagent/wdflag.cfg

 
5.  After you have installed smsagent driver, there are several startup script files that are added, and
    they are /etc/rc.d/rc3.d/S99smsagent, /etc/rc.d/rc4.d/S99smsagent and /etc/rc.d/rc5.d/S99smsagent.
    They are all linked to /etc/init.d/smsagent. You can view it as below,  

	[root@localhost /]# ls -l /etc/rc.d/rc3.d/S99smsagent 
	  lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 17 Oct 2 13:45 /etc/rc.d/rc3.d/S99smsagent -> ../init.d/smsagent  

 
6.  Reboot the server when installation is complete.
