PREREQUISITES: INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: CREATING A DRIVER DISKETTE There are two methods to create the Installation Diskette: MAKING A DISKETTE UNDER MS-DOS: 1. Save the "aacraid-driverdisk-1.1.5-2395-i686-RHEL4.img" file into a temporary directory. 2. Mount the USB Disk. 3. Under DOS: type C:\dosutils\rawrite For the source file, enter "aacraid-driverdisk-1.1.5-2395-i686-RHEL4.img". For the destination file, enter the destination USB drive. The ``rawrite'' program will then copy the img file onto USB disk. MAKING A DISKETTE UNDER A LINUX-LIKE OS: 1. Save the "aacraid-driverdisk-1.1.5-2395-i686-RHEL4.img" file into a temporary directory. 2. To make a diskette under Linux (or any other Linux-like operating system), you must have permission to write to the device representing a USB drive (for example: /dev/usbhd). 3. Insert the USB disk but DO NOT issue the mount command: # dd if=aacraid-driverdisk-1.1.5-2395-i686-RHEL4.img of=/dev/usbhd
