The flash utility is a DOS-based program. ENHANCEMENTS: - Enable future BIOS updates from within Windows - 10 seconds timeout if POST detects an error NOTE: Previously, when a POST error or invalid CMOS condition is detected, you are prompted to press a specific key to continue. With servers at remote locations and without access, the server will sit at this prompt indefinitely. With this new BIOS update, the server will wait 10 seconds for a key press, and will automatically attempt to boot if no operator action is taken. HOW TO USE: 1. Download the 03305T03.ZIP file to a temporary directory. 2. Prepare a bootable media such as a floppy or a supported USB flash drive and this media must have at least 1.2 MB amount of free space before extracting. 3. Unzip this zip file to this bootable media. 4. Boot the server from the bootable media and execute the batch file or use recovery mode to flash your system BIOS. 4.1 System BIOS upgrade - BIOSF.BAT Please run the BIOSF.bat to update system BIOS under DOS 4.2 Recovery mode flash (supported using USB floppy only) This mode is used to recovery your system BIOS from previously failed BIOS flash. Please format a floppy disk that is not bootable, and then copy just the 03305T03.ROM file onto the floppy for ROM recovery. There are three way to enter the ROM recovery mode. a) If BIOS finds system BIOS checksum is bad, your server will enter recovery mode automatically. b) Set switch SW1-3 to the ON position and power up or reset your server. See label inside the access panel for the switch location. c) Press Ctrl+Home when powering-up the server. 5. Please reboot the server after you hear 4 beeps.
