This is the Mouse Systems mouse with the metal pad with the
screen-printed superfine array of little tiny triangles (if you looked
at it closely)?
There used to be a file floating around that would generate a working
printout of those on a Postscript laser printer. I no longer have it,
and a search attempt has so far failed to turn it up. The pads are as
rare as hens' teeth now because they were somewhat fragile, haven't been
made on over 20 years, and mostly got thrown out when the systems they
came with were decommissioned, by people who couldn't imagine that a
mere mouse pad would ever be inportant to anyone.
Good luck finding one. But with a diligent search, you MIGHT find the
right file. It has been known to work when printed on heavyweight
gloss-coated paper using a 600dpi color laser printer, but as you'd
expect, is not very durable.
