[SunHELP] Another system, another boot issue

So, got the first E280R running fine - the one with the T3's.

Second E280R uses internal drives and a D130 attached. Again, Solaris 9.

After tape restore from a very similar system (but has 2 D130's - this one
only has one) I get

"Can't locate boot device"

Booted from a Sol 10 CD to single user.

mounted the boot drive to /a

did the devfsadm again and it made quite a few changes

listed the /dev/dsk directory and all looked well

I can read/write to /a and verified vfstab was good

carefully created devalias for the original drive (not touched) and the
restored drive and one for the newly restored drive

from OK I did probe-scsi-all and it appears that all drive/devices are
present.

at a loss right now, what is weird (to me) is the word "locate" and not "open"
- never seen that.

did discover 1 of the power supplies is out on the E280R but the other is
running

welcome ideas, TIA
