green line points to me having to type "boot altboot1"

Now, remember, I wiped the OS from the primary_boot drive so I would expect a
boot failure. just don't know why it isn't automatically failing over to boot
from altboot1 without human intervention.

Ok understand. Normally you would store them permanently so not need to
reissue each boot.

What actually happens when the machine comes up?
