A while back I asked if anyone had Sun Studio 11 for use with Solaris 9.
Somebody said they thought Studio 12 still worked with Solaris 9. Today I
found a matrix on Oracle that shows what versions of Studio work with what
versions of Solaris:

Along the lines of Bill's post a while back that Oracle is dropping support
for most of the prior SPARC line, I found a little more on exactly which
boxes are going off support and when. A PDF is linked from this page:

Scalingbits looks like a good blog for Sol 10 and 11. I found both the
Solaris Studio matrix and hardware EOL pdf linked from this blog.
