There are SPARC live CDs, you'll just have to look a little farther
afield to try to find one with sformat.  Also, if you have an x86 box
with any kind of scsi, you can use adaptors to hook up the disk.
SCA->68-pin are probably the most expensive, as they have to break out
ID jumpers and power, but if your disk is not SCA, it should be fairly
easy to franken up a cable to get it hooked to the bus if you have a
decent parts bin.  The nicest advantage to SCSI (with the exception of
non-LVD Differential) is that it all plays well together right back to
the 50-pin and Centronics stuff.
