I am using VCS 4.1 - 2 hosts, 2 x StorEdge 3120 (each with 2 disks):
3120 (3000 Family ) release note does not have clear indication of how the
SCSI wiring shoud be.
(at least this one:
http://docs.filibeto.org/products-n-solutions/hardware/docs/pdf/816-7956-11.p
df)
I have tried many vaiations, the best I can come up is (other than root disk /
root mirror) each node sees c1t8, c1t9.
Ideally each node should see c1t8, c1t9, c?t12, C?t13......
+-----------+ hostA
| --- -2- | (dual scsi)
| -1- | (on board)
+-----------+
+-----------------------+
| -x- -1- -4- -x- | 3120 StorEdge (array 2) (DIP switch on left
side, thus should appear t12, t13).
+-----------------------+
+-----------------------+
| -y- -3- -2- -y- | 3120 StorEdge (array 1) (DIP switch on right
side, thus shows t8 and t9)
+-----------------------+
+-----------+ hostB
| --- -4- | (dual scsi)
| -3- | (on board)
+-----------+
Remarks: 1 wire to 1, 2 wire to 2, x wire to x, etc.
I even tried "chaining" like this: (it's even worse).
+-----------------------+
| -x- -1- -4- -y- | 3120 StorEdge (array 2) (DIP switch on left
side, thus should appear t12, t13).
+-----------------------+
+-----------------------+
| -x- -3- -2- -y- | 3120 StorEdge (array 1) (DIP switch on right
side, thus shows t8 and t9)
+-----------------------+
Does anyone has a working setup or suggestion?
Thanks.
