[SunHELP] bash as user's shell on Solaris sparc

On Solaris 10, is it possible that bash, as default shell, have problems
with memory allocation and programs can quit suddenly with 'alarm clock'
or 'no memory' (with 2gb or ram free for example) errors ?
For example, nikto and dsniff both crash with bash as default shell but
they work fine if user's shell is /usr/bin/sh for example.
Thanks for any comment or workaround,
fabiocini
