I'm curious, why ditch Sun's SSH?

Sun uses the OpenSSH code for that. In fact, for the most part, the 
(ssh|sshd}_config files are interchangeable between the two.

Unless you have the need for a certain authentication mechanism that 
sun's ssh doesn't support, why bother forcing yourself to maintain 
something when it really isn't necessary ?
