[SunHELP] Invalid shell

I tend to find that /bin/false works nicely ;)

Plus I see no reason not to just use vi, as opposed to vipw....

The only reason I can see to use vipw is on a bsd box where /etc/passwd is
the clear text version of the password db.

" In solaris 2.6,how to assign an invalid shell to user
" account smtp, where the uid of smtp and the root is 0.i
" cant use usermod command since it requires uid.is
" there any way to assign an invalid account to the user
" smtp.

read up on /usr/ucb/vipw and the passwd file format, then change the
smtp shell to /dev/null.
