We have a server where we are running Solaris 8.
The results of a 3rd-party audit showed that it is running SNMP v1, and
the auditors stated that SNMP v1 is a security risk.
We could just disable SNMP, but we would prefer not to because
there is a product we are hoping to acquire that would require it.
Upgrading SNMP was suggested by the auditors.
We have the following packages in place:
SUNWsacom
SUNWmibii
SUNWsadmi
SUNWsadmx
SUNWsasnm
SUNWsasnx
We also have patch 108869-17 in place.
That patch is now up to 108869-26.
How do I go about determining the necessary packages/patches
required to upgrade SNMP?
Thanks.
