[SunHELP] "Overlapping swap files are not allowed" -- what gives?

My U30 running Solaris 9 keeps giving me the following messages on boot:

/dev/dsk/c0t0d0s1 Overlapping swap files are not allowed
/dev/dsk/c0t1d0s1 Overlapping swap files are not allowed

Search as I might, I can find no explanation for this and I'm utterly
mystified as to why it thinks those two slices overlap with each other
(or with anything else except the disks' respective backup slices, for
that matter).  Swap is WORKING:

So why the heck is it flapping its gums about overlapping swap files
not being allowed?
