Hi all,
I just added an sbus video card to an Enterprise 6500 (I need to have
access to the console). I followed the instructions in the System Manual
(I am sure I put the sbus card in the right slot). The machine boots,
but I don't see any message displayed on the video. (The video works
when attached to another Sun box).
If I issue the command fbconfig -list, the system responds:
Device-Filename Specific Config Program
---------------- ------------------------
/dev/fbs/cgsix0 not configurable
If I type dmesg| grep cg, the system answers:
Apr 22 16:22:25 e6500 sbus: [ID 349649 kern.info] cgsix1 at sbus0: SBus0
slot 0x1 offset 0x0 SBus level 5 sparc9 ipl 9
Apr 22 16:22:25 e6500 genunix: [ID 936769 kern.info] cgsix1 is
/sbus at 2,0/cgsix at 1,0
Apr 22 16:22:25 e6500 cgsix: [ID 260993 kern.info] cgsix1: screen
1152x900, single buffered, 1M mappable, rev 11
Is there any software configuration required for Solaris to be able to
send messages to the console?
Thanks in advance for your help
Elio
