The client with the problem is running xntpd, yes.  the timeserver is
running ntpd.  The other clients are for the most part syncing with
netdate, ntpdate, or Windows NTP clients.  I hadn't considered the
possibility that ntpd might somehow not be functioning properly.  I'll
check it out.
