[SunHELP] ssh looking for different version

I have installed the pkg openssh 3.5p1 on a box running Solaris 8.  I get 
the error:
libcrypto.so.0.9.6: open failed: No such file or directory  I have the the 
file libcrypto.so.0.9.7 as I have istalled a newer version of 
Openssl.  What is the admin best practice to get this resolved.  I mean I 
can install Openssl 0.9.6, or create a symbolic link, but there has to be a 
better way...right?
