NOTE: This is conjecture.
Export the mounted cdrom as an NFS mount?

Subject: [SunHELP] Installing Solaris 8 from remotely mounted CD ROM
Hi All,
I have an old sparc 10 work station, it does not have
a CDROM drive in it. I want to install Solaris 8 on
it. I have checked suns network installation
procedure. It tells me that I have to setup an install
server in another solaris box to run net installation
on my cdrom less sparc. I have access to a friend's
sunbox with CDROM. But due to space constraint, it
will be difficult to copy the 2 installation CD on my
friend's box. Is there any way I can remote mount the
CDROM on a remote sun machine and do the installation
on a CDROM less machine? Your help with the commands
and explanation will be much appreciated.
