[SunHELP] Patch will not install

Tried that. Got the same error. Thanks for the suggestion.

However, I cannot for th elife of me get the dependent pkg installed.
Here is what I do:

>From the Solaris 8 cd /cdrom/sol_8_401_sparc/s0/Solaris_8/Product. There
is the pkg that patchadd says fails when doing checkinstall. I type:

tar -cf ~/SUNWcarx.tar ./SUNWcarx.u

and then gzip the file. I ftp it to the server I need to install it on
and gunzip and untar the folder. I type: 'pkgadd -d SUNWcarx.u'. Here is
the output:

pkgadd -d SUNWcarx.u
pkgadd: ERROR: no packages were found in </export/home/adm/SUNWcarx.u>

Why? The pkg should install. I cannot mount the CD in that machine since
it is in another state. This is really getting my goat.....

Don't even let ne BEGIN to tell you the problem I had mounting the CD
with vold...
