Hi,

If you are using Solaris 8 try prstat or on others /usr/ucb/ps -u for cpu and mem usage, or use top utility ( not default, you have to install).

For iowrite I think there is no command available directly. If somebody knows such a utility on solaris, i am sure he/she will enlight us...

Subject: [SunHELP] monitor disk and cpu usage

Hi list,

i would like to make a shhel command that could identify which processes
using most cpu and disk i/o

my problem is
When i use fuser -c -u /spool
i get a lot of output.

I would like to do a ps command on all process using /spool and sorts the
output in a way displayng the process using most cpu.
I think there is argument to the ps command to sort that way but cannot find
them in man pages.

Is is possible also to locate which processid taken up iowrite on a
filesystem
How could that be done ?

Thanks
