Actually, the problem I have is that it takes forever to get the banner and login prompt for FTP
to show up.  When trying to FTP from my ThinkPad (Win2K), it takes forever, then
says connection closed by host.
Telnet works, but it's equally as slow.  Additionally, doing "ftp localhost" from the machine itself takes
forever to get the banner and login, but FTP works.

I just upgraded to wuftp, but I was still having the problem on one of the machines prior to upgrading.
