First, add your printer's ip adress in /etc/hosts (say, "hplj4ps") , then
add the printer in the spooler configuration with the following commands :

lpadmin -p hplj4ps -v /dev/null -T unknown -I any -i
/etc/lp/model/netstandard -o nobanner,dest=hplj4ps,protocol=bsd
enable hplj4ps
accept hplj4ps

Then test with  :

echo "test" | lp -d hplj4ps
