[SunHELP] Strange SDS 4.2.1 Problem

Hi,

I have big problem with SDS 4.2.1 with Product-Patch from Sep. 2001
on an UE450 with Solaris 8 (recommended PatchCluster from22.Feb.2002).

First of all I have a Hardware-RAID (1,6 TB) with two RAID-Sets (2x
800GB),
because Solaris could only manage filesystems below 1 TG ... I think
?:-(
The first RAID-Set has lun0 and the second has lun1.
I've partioned both with format-command for transmetadevice-logging.

metainit d90 1 1 c1t5d0s6
metainit d91 1 1 c1t5d0s0
metainit d9 -t d90 d91
... this works fine.

The creation of the second fails:
metainit d100 1 1 c1t5d1s6
error .... like ... d100 overlaps with d9

When I delete the first metadevice d9 (d90 and d91) the creation of d100
and so on works fine,
but then I have same problem with d9 (d90 und d91).

I remember that this was a problem several years ago, but now I find no
hint.
