I am using an Ultra5 and use the m64config command to change depth and res.
I used the following settings:
m64config -res 1152x900x76 -file system -depth 24
Read the man page for "m64config".

Subject: [SunHELP] changing color depth on a ultra 5
I was wondering if anyone could help me on changing the color depth and
possibly the resolution on my Ultra 5? It is connected to a standard 19"
VGA monitor and its running at 8 bit @ 1280. I would like to get it to 24
bit and what ever the highest resolution it will take. Thanks in advance.
