[SunHELP] Solaris installation problem on Dell Latitude

This problem was posed last year by James Crow, but I did not see a
response to it. I am having the same problem with Solaris 8 installation
when I get to this step:

When the installer asks me to "Select a Language", no matter which number I
press the installer starts printing some
(seemingly) random character to the screen. After about three lines of
characters have been printed to the screen they stop and the laptop starts
to beep.
An odd thing is that the very first query about "interactive" or "jump"
options took my keyboard input.

I have tried both external and laptop keyboards with the same results.


NEED HELP PLEASE!!!!
