30. Why is Sun[tm] discontinuing Solaris OE Intel platform downloads?
We have made this decision for business reasons. At this time, our 
investment priorities are directed to products and programs which will 
have the greatest impact on Sun's bottom line. While we have discontinued 
the download program, we have also slashed the price of Solaris Intel 
media kits by 40% to $45 US (plus S/H). The kits are available via http://www.sun.com/solaris/binaries. Downloads for Solaris 8 OE for SPARC platforms will continue to be 
available.

Seems that i was downloading the sparc version. Now i gotta find the intel 

version on sun's website.

The Solaris x86 CDs that I burned are bootable. I also used Nero.
