[SunHELP] problems detecting 2nd harddrive

Well i install solaris 8 , mounted some partitions in
it , then i plugged in 2nd harddrive , make it a
secondry master in the solaris startup detected by
pressing F2 .. 
but now i cannot see the device files related to the
2nd drive in /dev/dsk/ ?
what should i do to detect it in such a way that
device files gets shown ?
new in solaris .. linux do this like a charm .
