[SunHELP] Strange network problems

Um, when you say thin ethernet loop, you mean segment correct??? you don't 
really have the segment connected together as a loop, you have t's on the 
appropriate points and 50 ohm terminators at either end of the segment.... 
if you don't that is definately where your problem lies...
