[SunHELP] Disksuite and /etc/lvm/*.cf files

Hi

I have 2 systems, both with mirrored system disks.

On one of them I see that

/etc/lvm/md.cf
/etc/lvm/mddb.cf

is populated with "relevant" system info according to the
partitioning/SDS etup.

On the other the files are essentailly "empty", and pkgchk on SUNWmd*
packages returns nothing. On the other it returns:

ERROR: /etc/lvm/md.cf
file size <60> expected <412> actual
file cksum <5411> expected <26303> actual
ERROR: /etc/lvm/mddb.cf
file size <85> expected <145> actual
file cksum <7848> expected <10678> actual

which I think is kinda right as these are "config" files that are
changed to adapt to the setup.

I dont really understand how I got to this postion, nor if it is a
problem (both systems have rebooted recently and all metastat output
looks OK), nor what to do about it *if* it is a problem?

Using Solstice Disksuite 4.2.1 on Solaris 8 (07/01).

Thanks
Kevin
