i don't know if solaris has some special way (or a graphical
configuration tool) but in most *nix environments,

vi /etc/resolv.conf

should do the trick.

ie:

search yourdomain.com subnet.yourdomain.com anothernet.yourdomain.com
nameserver 10.3.3.4
nameserver 192.168.31.123
nameserver 10.4.35.3

you can have up to 6 names in the search path generally, and up to 3
nameservers.
