[SunHELP] Rasterflex HR

I have was I *think* is a rasterflex-HR. (according to http://www.titansystemscorp.com/divisions/apd/support/vigra/faq/rasterfaq.html#faq040 a 2-row-of-ram-chips is a HR...). I tried installing it on my SS-20 running Sol-8. No dice. Has anyone gotten one to work under solaris 8? Solaris will use it as a console, but the device dosn't exist in /dev... I (think) i completly removed the software and am going to take one more shot at it. I believe i still have solaris-7 somewhere around here if that is known to work - I would just use 2.6, execpt that i can't find a copy of it ):
