When I run nslookup mymachine
I get:
server robin.mydomainname.com
Address 173.1.16.17

name mymachine.mydomainname.com
address 173.16.5.30

My machine is suddenly resolving names after I let it run overnight I don't
know why it is working now!

Hi

What happens when you run nslookup?

Does it see the server and can you lookup by simple name and FQDN?

Peter

I am tearing my hair out on this one, and I don't have that much to pull
out!

Running Sparcstation 10, Solaris 7 , I can ping by ip# both internally and
externally
I have run Solaris 8 intel version with the same configuration on the same
network with no problems.
Linux PC's don't have proble either.
