[SunHELP] /etc/init.d startup and shutdown scripts

I have a script to start and stop my oracle database under solaris 8

this script is placed under /etc/init.d/oracle

I then link /etc/rc2.d/S99oracle and /etc/rc0.d/K01oracle to
/etc/init.d/oracle

but my database does not get shutdown as per the script when I issue a
"reboot"

What am I missing? The script is fine, executable has #!/bin/sh and
works when invoked by root from the prompt via. "/etc/init.d/oracle
start" or
"/etc/init.d/oracle stop" as needed.

What am I missing?

thanks,

Ahbaid.
