You mean:

du -ak / | sort -nr

Will show you the largest files first

or if you do "man find" I think the option you want is find / -size...
Use the man pages first for commands before going to the web.  If / is
partition incorrectly or other slices, etc. you might want to re-install
the machine and partition it the way it should be.
