[SunHELP] Those damn ^M's

Remove annoying ^M characters from ascii files generated by an ftp from
windows: 

esc : 1 , $ s / ctl-v ctl-m / / g		{{ in a vi session - but
with no spaces}}

What is the easiest way to get rid of those anoying ^M (<control>-M)
chararacters.
