[SunHELP] 8 vs 24 bits

This is probably one of those questions that gets a "are you nuts?"
answer, but what the heck.

I have a copy of RealPC on my Sun Blade 100. It runs just fine at 8 bit
color. Try to run it under 24 bit and it has a fit and the program goes
into 1 bit color. Not good for playing the one old dos based game I miss
(SSI's Steel Panthers. It runs deecently as it's turn based rather than
real time.).

What I'd like to know if there's anyway I could set up an account that
would log me in at 8 bit color so I could run RealPC decently then log
out and back into my normal user account at 24 bit color to run Gnome
and everything else - Without having to mess with m64config every
time...

I thought there was an option in the xinitrc under Openwindows, but I
can't find anything in the various docs.

Any hints, tips, or even being told it's not possible on a Blade 100
(though preferably with a reason why... ;') would be greatly
appreciated.

William
