[SunHELP] scsi reset

Hi

On a sparc 5 you do not set the scsi ID on the internal drives. Leave those
jumpers off as the backplane selects 3 for the lower drive and 1 for the
upper. You are adding to the id's set and therfore using probe-scsi at the
ok prompt you will probably not see the drives at the id's you expect.

Subject: [SunHELP] scsi reset

Working on a Sparc station 5, installing NetBSD (i am unsure if this is
NetBSD specific so trying here first). Have two hard drives installed, one
seagate ST32430WC and the other ST32151WC. One is set as SID 0 and the
other SID 5. When both drives are installed I get SCSI resets because of
"invalid state". The actual error mentions esp6 which is my cdrom drive set
to SID 6. When only one drive is installed (doesn't matter which) I don't
get these errors.

Any ideas?

Thanks for the help,

-Chad
