[SunHELP] Problem in granting slave pty's by telnetd

Hi All

  One Ultra 10 machine with solaris 8 had gone down due to power failure,
when the system came up with running lots of fsck on all the root disk
slices, we have a strange problem after that. I am able to login only from
console but whenever any user is trying to telnet to the machine we get an
error message 

telnetd: could not grant slave pty.
Local flow control off
Connection closed by foreign host.

It seems to be very strange for me. Could anybody give some tips on how to
solve this ASAP. We have also done a reconfigure boot and also run drvconfig
and devlinks but no luck.
