Hi all.

I have several apache servers, each one with its own IP shared by a =
group of name based virtual hosts. This servers are supported by Sun =
Cluster in order to have the web service in HA.

Now, the mistery.
If i start the the servers with their startup/shutdown script (apachectl =
) everything works fine. But, if the servers are started by Sun Cluster =
( for example by forcing failover ), all the requests sent to them =
return with error "403 Forbidden".=20

The strange thing here is that i even started the servers with the same =
startup scripts that Sun Cluster uses and everything works OK ! ( the =
requests sent to the apache servers return the correct result ). So, the =
problem is not with the Cluster scripts. The problem arises when the =
apache servers are initialized by the Cluster software.

I already _truss_ the httpd processes and could verify that when a =
request is made to a file, the httpd process can open that file ( so, =
this is not a permissions problem ). In fact, it opens and immediately =
closes it.

The system configuration is this:
Hardware: Enterprise 220R, 2 GB RAM, 1 hme
OS: Solaris 2.6 kernel patch 105181-23
Storage software: VxVM 3.1, VxFS 3.3.3 ( w/ all latest patches )
Cluster software: SUNWCluster 2.2 ( w/ all latest patches )
Apache 1.3.14

Any help is welcome.

Thanks is advance.
