Did they specifically say they got your number from the sunhelp list?  If
so, which vendor was it?  

I allow certain vendors to occasionally advertise directly on the lists,
or the sales list...

First - I make the list policy here.

You're free to either list or not list your phone number, but a number 
of people have gotten VERY good deals on Sun hardware from vendors who 
frequent these lists.  I dont condone rabid cold-calling, but you seem to
be overreacting a bit considering you listed everything but your shoe
size and blood type.
