Hi James-san,

Thank you for your advice.

>first.. gated is for routing protocols, not routing (yas verginia, there is
>a difference). For a net this small you should consider static routes.

Yes.
I'd like to connect three classless netwarks,10.2.96.0/22,10.2.250.0/25 and
10.2.250.128/25, by way of Server-A and Server-B with two NICs.

 PC-A __Server-A___ __Server-B___ PC-D
 10.2.96.1 |EP250 | PC-B PC-C |EP250 | 10.2.250.52
__|____________|Solaris2.6 |____|_____|______|Solaris2.6 |___|__________
  10.2.96.0/22 |IP Address | 10.2.250.128/25 |IP Address | 10.2.250.0/25
               |10.2.96.20 | |10.2.250.130 |
               |10.2.250.129 | |10.2.250.1 |
               |_____________| |_____________|

Can I accomplish it only using static routes ?
(add "route add command" in S69inet file ??)
Is GateD (routing protocol) no need ?

Could you please tell me more your advice ?

>Second, if you cannot ping an interface on the SAME net, routing, routing

>When you have basics established (can ping interfaces on same nets), see

Result of ping

>From Server-A
 ping 10.2.96.1 ---- OK(to PC-A)
 ping 10.2.250.130 ---- OK(to Server-B)
 ping 10.2.250.1 ---- OK(to Server-B)
 ping 10.2.250.52 ---- NG(to PC-D)
 ping 10.2.250.0 ---- OK
 ping 10.2.250.127 ---- OK

>From Server-B
 ping 10.2.96.1 ---- NG(to PC-A)
 ping 10.2.96.20 ---- OK(to Server-A)
 ping 10.2.250.129 ---- OK(to Server-A)
 ping 10.2.250.52 ---- OK(to PC-D)
 ping 10.2.96.0 ---- OK
 ping 10.2.99.255 ---- OK

Best regards,

-Hitoshi-
