[SunHELP] problem setting PATH under solaris 8

Root default shell is "sh".  Try editing /.profile and add your paths there.

I can't seem to get root to take a path other than /usr/sbin:/usr/bin  is 
there any particular tricks I am missing to edit the path for root? :(
