[SunHELP] DETECTING HARD DISK WITHOUT REBOOTING

Hello,

i've installed solaris 5.8 on  sparc-20  and  disk's raid ultra-scsi (
of 48 Gigabytes) and i'd  like to put new disk ( there's 24 Gigabytes
free )
in raid  and when i  put it into raid, it detect it  but when execute
"format" to configure it doesn't appear .
What should i do to configure it without rebooting ? ,   i can't
rebooting because it's a web server with a lot of traffic web , i alredy
know
that executing  "boot -R"  starting it would be detected and  i could do
"format" and installing disk.

How i will be able to detect  it witouth stop the machine ?, Exists some
command to do it ?, and if is so, what parameters  i should use ?
