I have read that Solaris 7 can maintain up to 65,536 simultaneous connections.
Given that there are roughly 100 ports reserved in my /etc/services file and
that I want to allow room for manouevre - say another 100 or so ports - can I
assume that Solaris 7 can deal with 65,000 simultaneous TCP/IP connections.
As the number of connections approaches 65,000, can I expect to see
significant performance problems?

Andrew
