Subject: [SunHELP] CDE Display Hangs
Reply-To: sunhelp at sunhelp.org
Hi All
We have a E250 system,when I login on the console ie. from CDE as root
the system allows me to login,but when I log in as a particular user who has
zsh as his shell,the display hangs popping the perfmeter window.Verified the
/var/adm/messages file and found the follwing errors for that
user(username->artest).
"Mar 9 11:31:18 galaxy /usr/dt/bin/ttsession[18449]:
_Tt_iceauth::make_auth_cook
ie(): '/galaxy02/artest/.TTauthority' not writable, auth entry not added."
Can anyone please help me out????
Thanks in advance

Anybody know of a until to un-pack/convert .sit.hqx files from a Mac

Actually "man le" should do the trick. Anyway le stands for
"Lance Ethernet" and its a Tbase10 controller, so it will
operate at 10 mbit.

It is not "SYSMON" it is "SYMON" which is Sun
Management Center now. The current version is 3.0

To be more accurate: the le controller is not tied to the medium, so
it is not 10baseT or 10base2 or 10base5 but just plain 10mbit.
Depending on the machine you will have a thinnet, AUI or RJ45
connector.
(IIRC, le was considerably less than 10mbit if you have the hardware
flawed sun3 with le)

If this is a one time occurrence, I have both systems on
my desk - I can unpack it for you, FTP it to my Ultra5
and create a tarball or whatever you want.

Subject: [SunHELP] Sendmail error
Reply-To: sunhelp at sunhelp.org
Forgive me if this question is odd, but for this moment I do not see the
solution myself..
One of our boxes produces an error from the sendmail tag, as
sendmail[16842]: NOQUEUE: low on space (have 0, SMTP-DAEMON needs 101 in
var/spool/mqueue)
Uhh.. what helps? It gives significant problems with sending mail
(surprised?), but I do not see a solution at the moment so..
any suggestions are welcome
Greetings

Hi Admins,
I'm asking this again...Request your valuable feedback on this.
Thanks to Joe Fletcher for his view.
What are the steps/ways you can think of, when a SUN server crashes?. Can
backups from ufsdump or Tivoli help?. I was just thinking of /dev and
/devices directories. If you have any intresting solutions or tips pls do
let me know.
Thanks,
Balaji

I believe it's simple - you're out of disk space in that filesystem.
