Hi Chris

If you board has only the heat sink, then it is the later board and should
not need a fan.

Perhaps this has already been answered..... I've got some Ultra 1 (and
1e) machines which have no CPU fan (just a sizable heatsink). I seem to
recall Sun might do a 'free' modification to add a fan?
